Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply when you buy from this website. They set out what you can expect from us and what we need from you. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Scope of these terms
These terms govern the sale of goods through fuelstoragetanks.shop. The goods we sell are cotton sleepwear and loungewear for men and women — cotton sets, lounge pants, robes and nightdresses — sold at the prices shown on the website.
These terms are written for consumers. If you are buying in the course of a business, contact us before ordering, as different terms may apply.
2. Orders and how a contract is formed
Placing an order through the website is an offer to buy. A contract between you and us is formed when we accept that offer — which happens when we confirm your order by email, or when we dispatch the goods if no separate confirmation is sent.
Order confirmations are not a guarantee of availability. If an item turns out not to be available, we will tell you and either offer an alternative or refund the amount paid for it. We may decline an order where there is an obvious error, where payment cannot be authorised, or where we suspect fraud.
3. Price, payment and pricing errors
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed when you place it, together with any delivery charge shown at checkout. Payment is taken through our payment provider.
We try to ensure prices are correct, but errors can occur. If a price is obviously wrong — for example a clear mispricing that no reasonable customer would take to be genuine — we may cancel the order and refund you in full, or contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price. We will not charge you more than the price shown without your agreement.
4. Delivery and transfer of risk
We dispatch orders from our warehouse. Estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout and confirmed in your order email. Delivery dates are estimates rather than guaranteed dates, and delays caused by carriers or events outside our control do not make us liable for the delay, although we will help resolve it.
Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us, or to a person you have nominated to receive them. Title in the goods passes to you when we receive payment in full.
5. Cancellation, returns and refunds
As a consumer you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, without giving a reason. Returns must be sent back within 14 days of telling us, unused and in a resaleable condition, with any tags attached.
We refund to the original payment method. Where goods are returned showing signs of use beyond what is needed to check them — worn, washed or damaged — we may deduct the loss in value from the refund, after telling you. The cost of return postage is yours unless we agree otherwise. Full practical detail is on the delivery & returns page. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — including remedies for goods that are faulty or not as described — are not affected by anything in these terms.
6. Limitation of liability
We do not limit our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that: we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable to both of us when the contract was made, for business losses such as lost profit, or for losses caused by your own use of the goods in a way they were not intended for. Our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods in that order.
7. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by applicable law, and the competent courts have jurisdiction. Where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own courts, you may do so.
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly by email at shop@fuelstoragetanks.shop · +44 7543 892991. If we cannot resolve a dispute between us, consumers may be able to use alternative dispute resolution, although we are not obliged to participate in a particular ADR scheme.
8. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. We may update these terms from time to time; the terms that apply to your order are those in force when you placed it. These terms do not affect any rights you have by law.
